From a SEO perspective then definitely AB.com but if you're building a brand then it's up to you, your preference.
Ok, now I see you have 2 questions, one in title and one in post. If you're building a brand then get both TLDs, if you're doing SEO then only .com.

Buy them both is good advice.. but if you just want one then avoid hyphens

Go with this equation. However I would defiantly buy both and try and get top 2 spots. especially if its a MNS.

I think A-B.com is better that's easy to remember and get traffic easily.

ab.net will be good. I will suggest to also buy a-b.com and redirect it to ab.net .
