I have a kw1-kw2.org domain and am trying to get to the first page for kw1 kw2.
It's been 2 months, and I have 140 or so links showing in yahoo siteexplorer (although I've done a lot more).
Right now, I am doing 50 directory submissions/day (just started doing that...but will continue). I have UAW sending out 2 articles to 50 article directories/day. Each new article I create, I also put on ezinearticles. I also try to do 50 blog comments/week from pr 3+ blogs.
I have also updated my onsite content to a 12 page site, and will continue to add pages each week. All are properly described, with proper keyword density (as far as I can tell). Internet Business Promoter (which I use to make sure I don't miss anything on site...but take with a grain of salt), says that I am 92% optimized, which usually means...you're right there.
The sites on the first page have between 0 and 50 links...but they are the big boys. The amazon.com's... However, there are sites on page 2 or 3, which are no more than a forum from 6 months ago, where someone asked a question related to the subject...and a couple people replied (with no external links or real page PR).
I knew it would take some time to beat the first page guys, but with the kw1-kw2 domain I have an advantage. For some reason, I am currently ranked in the top 150 for kw1-kw2s (plural of the word) and some other keywords, but not in the top 500...for the kw1 kw2 my domain matches(I was at 350 at one point in time). In the past, when I have had an exact keyword domain I have usually shot up into the first couple pages within a month.
My general question....do you have any ideas for what to do?.... kw1 kw2 gets over 100,000 exact searches/month in google...so I'm committed to solving this.
