Advice: Using nulled wordpress theme

So I'm planning to create WordPress blog which will be running based on affiliate.
I downloaded nulled version of Newsmag theme. I uploaded it to my testing website. Everything is working fine and I didn't even activate it though it still has the option to add activation key. I am planning on using it on my main website. As it was a nulled version does it mean it will work perfectly even without activation because I'm going to use it on my main site.? Will it have effect on my website?

I don't have money to buy the theme but I have plan to buy it in the future.

Using a nulled theme always have it's disadvantages. It's better you stick with Free themes till you have the fund to get a theme of your choice. @Festinger provides amazing premium themes for the cheapest price in the Universe. He may be able to help though.

A nulled theme, in and of itself will have, no negative SEO or other effects if it is otherwise clean. All WordPress themes and plugins are covered by the GNU Public license so their is nothing "illegal" about using a shared or nulled theme; though many opinions are that developers should be supported.

Your risk depends on the source of the theme. It is possible to add malicious code, links and backdoors in the code. @Festinger is a trusted source so his shares here are a great resource. But you should always do your own due diligence for any software you use on your sites.

Assuming your theme is clean, your main problem will be keeping it updated over new theme releases and WP versions.
 
You don't need to Activate it. Activation is primarily for getting automatic updates.

The main disadvantage for nulled theme, is it has a high chance of having backdoor. This is the most famous use of nulled themes websites. However, not all websites do this, and you can easily check if its clean if you know what you are doing.

However, as it appears you are still beginning, I would advice looking for shared themes in download section in this forum. There are tons of them, and they has seldom chance of having hacked code. Just make sure the author has purchased it, no sharing from other website.
 
Free themes are always better than nulled themes. Because nulled themes are created by breaking some lines of code in premium theme. You can't trust the person who do that.
By using nulled themes some chances of getting WordPress website hacked.
It's Never Recommend using nulled themes on money website.

I will advice you don't try such, i was a victim of nulled theme and Plugin and now i would rather pay festingher some cash and get what i need from him or buy directly from the original source, i design a web 2 print website using WooCommerce nulled theme and plugin and after few months the website went blank, i almost cry that day and till now have not been able to complete the project, just get back to the project last week.

It's so sad trust me.

I'm getting this error after installing
"There has been a critical error on your website. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions."
 
U won't imagine how many people here had problems when they used a nulled theme on wordpress. Most of them got hacked or some shaddy stuff like that ..
 
You should have just used the studio press Genesis theme I gave you for free LOL it's legit and not nulled.. automatically updates to the newest version through your WordPress dashboard
 
Don't ever use a nulled theme on your money site, check out the downloads or hit up @Festinger. I once used a nulled plugin and my whole site was taken down some stupid coming soon page was up and they booted me out of cpanel.
I still have not recovered fully seo wise so not worth it in long run
 
It’s a high chance that you’ll be hacked, these $20 savings arent worth a risk.
 
Forget nulled I made that mistake in 2016. Got some malware popups that would appear at random on my site.
