Advice please!

Hi,

So a fair few years ago I set one of my affiliate websites. One thing I didn't do is take out the date in the URL structure.

For example my site shows: www.website.com/2016/06/27/review-service

Is there any way of changing this without completely messing up my SEO? It could be a simple one, but I'm worried I'll completely ruin my rankings for this site.

If you change it .. the urls will redirect to the normal one's

All you need to do is change permalinks i guess.

If you rank high on good keywords, don't touch it, there is no need.

If you do not then you can change the permalink structure so it doesn't have date in it. Make sure the 301 redirects from old to new URLs work correctly; fix internal links so they don't link to the old URLs; update the sitemap and push it to search console.

Thanks, I suppose it hasn't really affected my SEO, but I like the cleaner layout. Also, I edit old articles to keep them updated, but the link still looks like its an older article which bugs me a little.

Oh well, live and learn, I guess!
