i created a ts campaign. post it on a new account with no followers. in seconds, i got a few likes.

i repost it with a mention on my 12k account which has a perfect niche match, got 100 likes in an hour and a good comment.
    nobody made a purchase.

    what can i do?

would you give credibility to a new account and buy something a new account posted? well, I would definitely NOT.

why don't u post it on ur 12k acc? never heard of anyone doing ts getting banned? Seen many 100k+ accounts with ts links in bio and they are still running.

How is your 12k acc engagement rate ? I usually start monetizing my accounts after I hit 30k followers and 700+ photo likes.

i get 100-350 likes per post. got up to 29 comments on more interesting posts.
it's a little harder than most, i think, to get to 30k because my niche is local.
it already took me 3.5 months to get to 12k. it'll take me another half year to get to 30k plus i am running out of people to follow..

i have the bio linking to my site which is not about shirts. i was reluctant to change the bio. did not think about the credibility problem. i figure it goes to ts site. i do have 1 follower who likes the shirt so much that he went and follow the new account after a good comment. lol.

plus i thought about buying mentions.

Teespring is quite hard to get sale, design is either a success of fail and you will know.
I've had a few decent teespring campaigns, what i did was promote on my 35k+ specific car page, and had a few friends with 200k+ promote it too, worked pretty well.

how many sales do you get by posting on your 35k page and on the 200k page? and approximate sales/likes ratio?

What was your reach on the post on the bigger account?

They shouted me out 1-3 times a day for like a week or so, so most sales probably came from them.
Also i noticed, many people like to tag their friends or something and say "You should totally buy this" and that's usually where sales come from, not necessarily likes.
I had one get about 45 shirts sold, ~$9 profit / shirt. And several more other campaigns with like 20-30 sales.

1-3 times a day every day? doesnt that look spammy? i guess he must be posting a lot every day (which dilutes the spammy look)?
from what you described, it's about 2-3 sales per 200k followers AND perhaps most of the sales dont come from his followers. so my first run is not conclusive i guess.

this also coincides with what i imagined. so perhaps buying mentions might be more efficient than the shoutouts? why didnt you try buying mentions? (since you think most of the sales came from [natural] mentions anyway) the drawback is bought mentions are not as targeted. i am thinking about buying mentions.

if the majority of your sales do not come from the followers, it would imply that mentions should not target the same audience of the IG page. i am still not sure who to target. perhaps people who like post with #customshirt are too broad...

Mentions can work if design is good, most of followers are passionate about this specific car company so nah, i'm sure they don't mind the 1-3 posts per day.
These accounts post a lot per day, like 20-30+ but engagement is great, and 1 of them is personal friend and others are friends due to our same interests and mutual friend, so I got shoutouts free from one friend's account and others i barely paid, like $50 for all the posts during the week.

I think FB might be better for teespring, i see tons of people selling 1000+ shirts on FB, but i've never seen anyone sell that much on solely on IG.

Facebook is GREAT for teespring. I would love to try and group a group about something passionate and push them a hoodie/shirt.

I was making about $500 a month(profit) on about $10 facebook ad/per day. Not a huge amount but for the money I was spending on ads I was happy.

I may attempt to go a group on their. Hitting a fandom is great like Dr Who/Supernatural/Etc

according to an article i read, IG engagement is 5 times that of fb.
do you have any idea about the target of mentions if you are to buy mentions?

I'm new to IM so take anything I say with a grain of salt.. Everything I say is just my opinion hah. Maybe someone in the game longer will come along and agree or disagree.

But engagement doesn't mean conversions. I find it waaayy easier to get 50 - 100 likes/few comments for FREE on IG. On facebook I feel that's much harder to achieve. BUT, I think IG is much more of a just Double Tap if you like this picture or Comment if you like it etc. So you have the engagement but turning that into a conversion is much harder.

Facebook is more of a platform to sell vs IG. In my opinion. Not saying it's not possible, as I hope it is, because I'm starting out on IG now.
