    Hi all,
Relatively new user here, so be gentle! :)

I have a PR4 domain that I've owned for over 9 years, that I no longer use. It is relevant to the main site I run now, and has a fair few backlinks. Right now, I've put a 301 redirect in place to send all traffic to my current site.

I was wondering if this is the best way to spread all that good stuff to my current site, is all?

My idea was that if I was to build a doorway page (I think that's the right term), I could add links to my two other related sites, and spread that PR4 love around a little, rather than just sending all the traffic straight to my new site.

Does anyone have any experience of this, please? As all the backlinks for the old site are being 301'd to the new site, I assume they're helping my new site in the SERPS, or am I way off base there?

(I've done a search, but haven't found much that answers my specific query. Or I'm being of the two. :) )
