So lately my money site has been having its fair share of issues. Every so often I'll find it's completely not responding, and more frequently it'll be there but just load really slowly. I ran it through GTmetrix to see what was going on, and this is what I got.

    Page Speed Grade: A (90%)
    YSlow Grade: A (91%)
    Page Load Time: 20.91s
    Total Page Size: 298KB
    Total # of Requests: 28

So my first guess would've been that there was something weird going on with my host. The problem is I have another site (just a personal blog) on the same hosting plan that doesn't have these problems. In fact, it's way worse optimized, but loads way faster:

    Page Speed Grade: B (84%)
    YSlow Grade: D (69%)
    Page Load Time: 3.39s
    Total Page Size: 769KB
    Total # of Requests: 83

The real kicker is that even when my money site is unreachable, the blog works fine. The domains are both registered by the same registrar and both sites run through cloudflare. I'm really not that savvy when it comes to this sort of stuff, so hopefully someone with a little more knowledge can shed some light on this.

    Thanks.

Oops. Turns out it was something weird going on with Cloudflare. I just purged the cache, retried it and the page loaded in 1.62s. Much better. If anyone has an idea what exactly went on under the hood and how I can prevent it from happening in the future, I'd be much obliged.
