Advice on a marketing business

Sadly I've no success in my last online business I started offering SEO - Web Design and Branding. I was of course going to outsource the SEO because I wouldn't be able to handle it all as I'm a one man team.

I've later realized that in my country no one likes to spend money when it comes to online stuff. They either want stuff really cheap or free.

I don't want to quit just yet, I even thought about starting a small business selling a product (not digital) but then I felt I was more into marketing.

Is there any thing I could focus on and not like offer more than one service. I want to stick to one thing as I'll be one person only and just starting out basically. I was thinking like offering some offline marketing like gurellia but not sure. I would appreciate any input.

A friend of mine has built a successful business on giving small businesses a free professional website if they host with him, once he builds trust he up sells services. After 15 or so years he has a good business and employs staff

You got enough info what you said to earn a fortune, if you read what your saying....

In your country people are looking for free items , as they dont like spending .

Offer them free items

Discount codes for products.

Use a afflicate so you get paid, i suggest Surveys .

Get your users to fill in surveys ,for you to provide discount codes.

You seach the internet every week for discount codes , and you set up a website where users have to fill in a survay to get the discount codes.

You get cash from afflicate and they get the discount info.

All free for them...

I wouldn't mind but that's basically a web design business where there are too many around, almost at every corner. I could add that on in the future but I still need to find that one service to offer them first.

I assume you mean offering SEO services or something but Do you think they would trust someone who's not from their country. I doubt that hey, especially if they want to meet etc. I prefer to do something in my country

If you are doing online marketing then you still have to charge, but you said they won't pay

Yes that's why I want to start something where maybe online marketing is not solely needed. Like more traditional marketing with a twist, like how you have guerilla marketing but focusing on one thing for now before expanding
