Hi,

I have found a domain that I want to use for a digital marketing agency, it used to be a seo company previously and thats what I want to do. In Archive the domain shows 403 for the last few years but is it still indexed in Google. Do you think this is a domain worth buying or spammy?

Also there is a Facebook page but I am a bit worried about the law side of it all as in can the previously company claim ownership of the domain?

Thanks in advance for the input

Need to check the domain spam score and backlink profile.
But don't worry about claiming the ownership problem, simply create a new facebook page and name it official page to this website.

I have added the previous owner on Linkedin, I will ask about the domain and if she wants to sell early since it drops in 70 days. I am just trying to keep safe here

How do I check the spam score

If the domain still has indexed pages on Google then it is a good thing - at least you can be sure that the domain was not penalized by Google - sometimes it happens - u buy an expired domain and later find out it was deindexed by Google.

Spam score is irrelevant bullshit, don't pay any attention to it.

Copyright might be an issue, but I don't think it will be really, especially if they don't have their term trademarked, which I doubt.

What I would be more concerned about is, that the SEO niche domains were obviously SEOed and since they ran out of business, they most likely did a shit job of it. Thus, even if the domain isn't penalized manually, it might still be penalized by algorithm and be an utter crap.

Domain I have picked looks clean, the reason they are letting it drop is because they have merged with a new company. Do you think the old owner can claim the name back? I mean really he doesnt have any right to it anymore since he is voluntarily letting it go since he has merged with a new company but in a dispute I dont know if he will admit this.
