I am currently working on creating a plan for the entire year to help me do something I need to do for next year. I plan to get married and purchase a home by the beginning of next year but I am currently about 23k in debt.

The good thing is that If I sell my car, which is currently up for sale, I can bring my debt amount to about 6k. I make about 2k a month right now and my monthly expenses are at about $400. The reason my my monthly expenses are low is because I am still living at home.

Now my plan for the first quarter of 2012 is to sell my car and buy something cheap and reliable. This will put my debt at about 7-8k in March and my monthly expenses will drop to about $300 a month, thats not including payments to my credit card. My plan is to be completely debt free in June. From then on I want invest my money in creating a few websites that I have been planning and I am currently working on.

Now I am not asking on what to do to make some money, I already have an idea of what to do. I will put my eggs in different baskets and do everything completely white hat with a long term plan in mind. I plan to do some side jobs in order to try and get more income to help pay off my debt.

If anyone has any advice or anything to motivate me I will greatly appreciate it. Lets make 2012 a year to remember and lets reach and surpass our goals for the year!

While everyone out there posting their daily profits, I will be posting my debt balance until its completely paid off.

As of today 1/14/2012, I am currently $23.5k in debt.

I have close to the same goal, not counting my mortgage on home I have about 25k in debt. Goal is to pay it off this year then start working on paying off mortgage by retirement in 5yr.
I think you have taken the biggest step in setting your goal, now have a plan and work the plan! Subscribed and will be watching thread.

good luck OP, growing long term is the best bet, it leaves you less risky to every little big G change.
