Advice Needed.

I am new to this forum so apologies if I am asking obvious questions.

I have had a UK Dropship toy site for about 5 years which used to rank very well, but I took my eye off it, stopped updating it and it also got hacked so that all my google traffic got redirected. This ended up with google putting a warning on my site. I eventually got the site fixed and google removed the warning.

I am now trying to get it reranked, it lost all ranking and traffic. It didn't have many banklinks but still ranked 1st or 2nd page for most of my target phrases.

My question is, should I persevere with this site, or should I try starting a fresh site. I am concerned that the previous issues will stop my site from ever reranking where it once was. I cant obviously post the site name but any advice would greatly be accepted. Also, if you need any further info, please let me know.

First question is if you are under demotion from Penguin.

Thanks for the reply, how would I know that. I know that my page rank is now zero. But at best it was 2, so not sure.

You have just overcome from a situation, from where you have to start it again from the beginning. Organize all your contents from the beginning. So that you can make it more comfortable and flexibly.

You were ranked due to your content that were indexed in Google, Then something bad happened don't worry you can still get most from your site. i advise to build some unique content, add some pages and generate a new site map and let the Google index those new pages.
