Hello guys, i'm thinking of paying someone to help me design a movie site where people can come and download movies not more than 350-400mb.
I have few questions since it will be my first time;
(1) Is the business lucrative?
(2) will i be the one to upload the movies to my website?
(3) what place do you think i can get up to date movies that meets my 350-400mb proposal size?
(4) do i get paid according to site visits or movies downloaded?
(5) how much do you think would cover promotions for my site (low budget)
(6) when do you think i'll start making interest and who pays me?

Note: i'm a complete novice
1) Any Online business is lucrative as long as you have a plan and the determination to "DO IT" no matter what. If you give up, its not lucrative anymore.
Although movie streaming/downloading sites are pretty common and a saturated niche. SO you need an amazing plan to stand out of the crowd.
2) This question is rather vague. You can develop a platform where you invite users to upload movies or you can do it yourself. If you allow others to upload movies then you'll have to do the moderation of the files uploaded before they go live. There are all sorts of people attaching malicious files good enough to infect the users who download the files. Then there is a matter of censorship and policies you may want to follow and impose on others. I could write an essay to answer this question but what you really intend, is the real deal
3) There aren't many rippers who reduce the size of the file to that extent and still keep the quality in check. TBH I am not aware of many such rippers. You'll have to do your own research for this or perhaps someone else could help you with this.
4) Again, this entirely depends on how you develop your site. If you make it a paid site where the user has to pay to download a movie, you'll get paid. Although this method is less likely work since people prefer freebies or else they can simply buy netflix if they ever intended on paying in the first place.
IMO your best bet will be to put up content locker before streaming/downloading any movie. Ogads has many such offers which go with content locking.
The other model could be serving pop ads to the users and there are countless ad networks who can buy such traffic from you. Also, you can keep banner ads which have relatively better payout structure.
5) Since this website will be hosting movies and I am assuming you don't have permission to stream those from their respective owners, you cannot run google/bing ads. You'll have to do SEO for ranking organically, some Social Media or rather straining on SMO would be better since a lot of referral traffic comes that way and if they like your content, they will return quite often.
6) Obviously, The network who'll buy your traffic will pay you. Not sure what do you mean by ''interest"
