Hello there BHW
Edit: I Understand now that life is no walk in the park, and to get something you need to endure the shit you don't like doing and work hard to achieve your goals.
Got a bachelor degree in I.T, can do web design and some web development, also currently learning flutter for mobile development as I like it.. got several freelance clients and a nice portfolio - also have a 9 - 5 job as a web designer ( more of a web admin and some shitty I.T work i.e donkey work - come fix my outlook, printer not working and shit ). the 9 to 5 which is actually an 8 - 5 job pays me peanuts but it pays my bills and on the side, I do freelancing gigs to increase my income.
created a bunch of adult sites a while back and were bringing me some cash but I didn't put any effort into them and I let them die - started an adult niche site now but I don't feel like working on it, my mentality changed and I want to start a family but I feel bad about getting porn money to feed my family with it.
I'm planning on leaving my job, by the end of the year when my contract expires and I ask for the salary my services deserve, and my current employer doesn't pay, but to be able to do that I need to have a backup plan, either IM & SEO or freelancing as a programmer.. have the time, the money to carry myself while it pans out for me and willing to put in the work but I am not sure which route to go.. don't want to waste time on something and later on regret it.
IM & SEO: Will get me money after a long time and I will be my own boss which is great. The problem is content writing is the most boring thing in life.
Freelancing as a programmer: will get me good paying gigs and will expand my portfolio if for some reason I decide to pick up another 9 - 5 jobs. The problem is people are assholes, clients I mean, they pay you now, and 5 minutes later ask about results and the work progress, I feel like they own me which I don't like one bit.
am all over the place, sorry about that, just wanted to ask what will YOU do if you were in my shoes?
Much obliged.
