Hi guys,

We are into Custom software development, IOT, AI, Bots etc... niche
Recently we also started offering SEO services to our existing clients and now wish to enter Digital marketing services as well.

So my query is that should I create a separate website focusing on Digital marketing services only and separate website for IT services or Should I integrate it in the services section of our existing website (IT).

Will it be easier to rank for 2 different niche keywords if I create 2 separate websites for each niche or I should create 1 big website where I sell both these services.

Wouldnt the google algorithm get confused for which niche should it rank our website

I am really confused as both of these strategies has there Advantages and Disadvantages.

It depends.

If you build two separate sites for each service you spread your risk in case of a penalty. That helps you ensure that if one of your site is hit, the other will be fine.

If you build both on one site, you risk losing every service in case of drops in rankings.

The only disadvantage with building the site separately is that the new site will take longer to rank as it slowly builds its own authority. However, if its different pages, google is brilliant to know that your pages offer different services so you can rank for different keywords on different pages.

I would do them separately. I always like to reduce risks in dropped rankings. More like a "don't put all your eggs in one basket" kind of thinking.

Cheers mate!

Never thought from this perspective thanks for your inputs :)

After reading your comment, I am now thinking to create 2 separate websites for each of this niche but in services page of both the website ill mention both the services.
and for keyword ranking purpose ill use IT website url to rank IT keywords and SEO website URL for SEO keywords.

Is this way correct?
