advice needed on domain purchasing

Hiya guys, I have a question regarding domains.

lets say your keyword for your niche is mobile phones.

so you want to buy a domain that has a decent search etc but mobilephones.com is taken

Would buying a domain like mymobilephones.com or cheapmobilephones.com have any impact on ranking for the keywords "mobile phones" ?

So my question is would it be worth buying a domain name with an extra word in it to try and rank for the keywords contained within ?

The exact match plays a role. Maybe not 100% for google but for other engines does. However if you can promote the similar site properly with seo and backlinks you can get at the same rank or even higher than the exact match.

Of course you wouldn't get EMD benefit but still it would be better than something totally unrelated (like something brandable with no real meaning).

If you are really not concerned about then length of the domain, Then you can definitely go for keyword rich domain with extra word. For sample i had some appraisal for random domains. It was really good. You too can try and see the results.

It's good the have the main key-phrase in there. Not only for Google but it attracts the visitors to click too.

Adding the third most searched meaningful word works best.
