Hi guys, hope all is well. I've recently started a niche based national directory (EG a directory for banana shops). So, the basic layout of the site is one main home page>area selection screen (EG London)>Individual area. My 'plan' is to rank a page for each area in the UK onto page 1 of Google. Or rather, as many of them as I can realistically. Then, 'rent' the pages out to a local "Banana Shop" for them to place their advertisement on the page, or alternatively have a overlay of their website on the page, for say £50-100 per month, per page. Now, I'm not an SEO expert by any means. I'm starting by building links on each of the potential rental pages. However, other than just doing that, I'm not sure what else I can do. My specific niche generally has low competition 20-250 searches per month depending on the area. Essentially, I'm hoping you guys could point me in the right direction for what else I should be doing other than link building. I'm trying to avoid doing too much focus onto 'on page SEO' due to the fact that the page will likely change once it's been rented, and therefore I don't want the rankings to rely too much on the on-page stuff. However, that's where my thoughts on an 'overlay' or popup of the renters website come in. So, the keyword optimised content would still be there in the background, technically.
