Advice needed: How to make SEO for many pages site

Hi,

Does anyone have experience in seo of sites with many non unique pages, e.g. sites with guitar tabs, song lyrics and so on? What would you advise to do, what link building strategy to use?

We usually do dynamic SEO with these sites i.e. automated title tags, desc, headings etc . Most important factor for these type of sites is "size of site" and long title tags

Also these sites are a bit hard for SEO due to copied content and stuff so continuous link building is absolutely necessary.

Having said that, the risk of penalty is higher with these type of sites

How I see this, since you are adding duplicate content you should do as much pages as possible (automate it if possible) and keep generating content cause a lot won't probably rank due to being duplicate, however it's gonna be a hit or miss game and you won't be sure what's going to rank and what's not. Therefore, it would be waste of resources to do link building to pages directly (since there's a lot of them and you don't know which page is gonna get boost) and instead I would add good quality backlinks to the main domain and grow the overall authority of the website. Also I see social media an important part here, make sharing your stuff easy for visitors and try to get social presence, too. Don't forget proper interlinking and other on-page SEO steps to take maximum out of it.

- business listing
- article/web 2.0 posting
- forums
- classified posting
- PPT/DOC sharing
- social media sharing

If your website is not unique, just go with different designs of website layout and different meta keywords and meta description which should differ from other websites. This is the simple SEO technique when you go to duplicate content/ non-unique websites.

You can do social media for getting traffic for such cases .. as Keyword ranking will surely take time. U can try LSI keywords to do SEO for.
