Hello everyone,

I've been learning SEO theory for the past 3 months and I'm really interested in diving deeper into SEO, content creation, video production (especially YouTube), web design, and related areas. However, my professional background is primarily in finance and data analysis, specifically with tools like Excel and Power BI.

I'm looking to make a career change and move into SEO and content production (including web design, YouTube, PHP, HTML). Given my background, I'm curious about what advice you would give someone who's just starting in this field.

What should I prioritize learning first? Should I focus more on SEO initially, or would it be more beneficial to focus on technical skills, like web development, to be able to optimize and position websites?

I want to make a leap in my career, as I don't see myself working in banking or finance for many more years. Any tips for someone who's just beginning in SEO and web design?

Thank you!

In order to start with SEO, you need to know how to be a webmaster. By this, I mean installing Wordpress on a hosting and connecting your domain. Then you can create content and do optimizations, build links, etc.

I would say focus on technical for the reason that there will be more jobs along the way. Start YT SEO today as well by making your channels about finance and data analysis, and website next since you are an expert on this already no need to find new niche yet during training!

Get started with Youtube SEO now, by creating an account and finding trusted agents who will support you 24/7.

Why do you want to move away from Finance? SEO is a low-entry profession and that makes it highly competitive.
