So social media is my thing, makes me solid income and I enjoy it. But recently I ran into a product by chance, not even looking to start an Amazon Store or anything. And I thought, that would sell well online, turns out there are only 3-4 sellers on Amazon and eBay, it's an electronic device, it gets 10k monthly searches, and there are really no sites selling this product, aka little competition. Even though I quit a lot of SEO and affiliate stuff years ago for social media, I realized this was a decent opportunity, but I also realized I'm a little rusty.
But let's be clear...
1. I don't want to be spoonfed anything, I have pretty solid knowledge of what I'm going to attempt already.
2. I've read posts here on BHW about the matter for over an hour today.
3. I only have a few, specific questions.
4. In return, I will give you unparalleled advice about anything social media if you'd like, via PM or post reply.
I can say unparalleled social media advice because I've established 6 figure contracts with social media clients, and have had a 6 figure social media following. Of course, where's the proof? It's in my advice, connecting my work with BHW, even though I don't do anything blackhat with social media, would be a huge mistake on my part.
My few questions:
1. Would you recommend getting an EMD that ends with.net or .co, or creating your own "brand" or domain type name that ends with .com? There seems to be a lot of confusion about how much an EMD really helps, and I'm struggling to reach a decision on my point. The .com is best, but there are EMD domains with the name of this product, but the .com isn't available.
2. There are BST threads for users who build Amazon stores, recommend any particular member who builds them? I feel like I could put one together myself, but time is money, and time is scarce for me right now.
3. Do you know of any free, quality keyword tracking/research tools? I used to have Moz, which is top of the line, but I unsubscribed after I wasn't using it that much.
That's it, I have a SEO plan, as well as methods of promoting the product with Youtube. The unique thing about this opportunity is I can be more of a full blown advocate for the product, rather than my website. I'm not trying to sell some junky toy, or a legitimate product that dozens of other people are marketing. I appreciate any advice you may give me, and I may start a journey thread with this in addition to a social media one I'll start soon.
