Advertising dupe on tiktok need help!

Hey yall,

I'm advertsing a trending replica gadget on tiktok. The original gadget costs $2000 and I am selling the replica for $50 and sourcing it for $21.

My worry is because the gadget my supplier is sending is of a much lower quality than the original. I am worried about chargebacks etc but the metrics have been really good and there is a strong demand for it and I am really wanting to scale it but worried about the consequences.
Can yall give advice? How to get by selling a low quality replica that's likely to get many chargebacks etc?
I am wondering even if I should "no ship" this and just refund the customers that reach out etc.
Or should i send them this lower quality product?
I am using shopify with Maverick payment processor.

Yeah that’s risky. Scaling will just increase chargebacks. Either find a better replica or set clearer expectations in your offer. “No ship and refund” could get your processor shut down fast.

I am using a high risk processor though - Maverick. Any Idea how I can maybe get customers to be less likely to file chargebacks in this scenario? I like my current processor and want to keep it.

You can try use cloaking and multiple payment processors to stay safe , also refund those buyers who want it

Better refund than get chargebacks. Or scale with new supplier + clear product info.

If the quality of the product is really not up to expectations and there is a big difference from the original product, you need to reevaluate the supplier. Here are some steps you can take:

Compare with other suppliers: Find a few other suppliers who can supply the same type of product, and compare the quality of the products. You can try a small batch from another supplier to test the quality.

Contact the supplier: If you have already received goods from a supplier and found the quality is poor, contact them to request a refund or exchange. They may agree to replace the product or give you a discount on your next order.

Use cloaking but chargebacks are a problem indeed, you need good payment gateways and just refund unhappy customers as else that'll ternish your business.
