Advertise web services through flyers

Hello bhers,
Has anyone tried advertising web design services through flyers and did it work for you? Im thinking about dropping them into bussineses doors. They will be fancy and eye catching with sone kind of sales coupon in it.
I ve just built a decent website of me selling webdesign to local bussineses . Now its time to promote it and get some clients. Ive already started sending emails to bussineses wi4thout websites. Also i might try walking in bussises and cold calling. What has worked for you? Any other ideas?

I'd mail out packets to companies that don't have sites and then do follow up calls that way by the time you call them (Assuming they've read the packet), they'll already have a good understanding of what you're offering. Also, you want to look like a real "business", someone credible and trustworthy so little things like this will help you to stand out from the rest.
