Advantages to using API instead of GUI?

Hello i am curious about instagram/facebook/twitter API. I notice the rate limits are about the same, but the api allows you to target audience on gps coordinates and other features.

However it looks like rate limits are about the same(friend,like,comment) so would it be worth it to invest more time into coding and api (i know some python,java,etc. and could make an automation of the api but if the rate limits are the same it is not worth it?

Or should i just use GUI automation programs and not waste time, i am not a developer and do not wish to be, i would rather have professionals take care of the automation so i have more time to focus on my business.

Nobody has any advise?

Hey, all of these social media sites are investing millions to avoid automated softwares and thats why introduces APIs and limits.


It will not make any difference if u are using a rapid application development tool like zeno poster or ubot, limits will remains the same.


API based tools are much more secure and stay alive longer than the tools made with RAD as they always requires frequent updates due the changes in social media sites structure and anti bot updates.
