Recently I was made an admin of a group with almost 10000 members. The group is fairly active. How can I use this to make money, drive traffic etc? Is there a way I can invite all the members to like my own page or something like that? (My page is also in the same niche)

Simply don't ask to like or visit.
Try to add some value to group by sharing stuff from your site or page so they will get naturally involved

As a group admin you don't have any special advantage (unlike being a page admin), but you can use it in your favour.
1) As an admin make sure your group is spam free. Delete all the post that have any outgoing advertising link.
2) Now post your advertising links and ppl will notice it since the group is spam free.
3) Also you can pin your post.

You get to control the flow of traffic. Invite your pva accounts into the group so that you have multiple accounts promoting your content. You can then pin posts from your pva accounts (switch out lots of posts and keep a steady stream of pinned fresh content)
