Advanced IMers use two monitors - WHY ??!!

Simple!!! Because we have so many things going on at once!!! Having more screens means less clutter, and for me that means better productivity!

I have 3 now and a 4th on the way. It makes life SOOOOOOOOO much easier.

ı have 2 x 22" monitors too, for like 5 years already and cant live without them...

i still think how could i survive without them..
 
I just bought another 24" monitor. Can't wait to get it, it'll defiantly help with my work production
 
3 - 23" LCDs 1 36" LCD 1080p tv Cant live without them! I use 1 for FTP 1 for programming one for graphic designs like photoshop etc.. and the bigscreen to preview. Performance increase of easily 40% worth the cost of running them LOL.
 
Have you noted google office. almost all employees have 2 monitors. Check over in googe images.

I need to buy another 1 monitor atleast to make sure that i am busy.. :photo:
 
i actually use 3 monitors for the most part now.
one is for 1 broswer, 1 for my programming progs,
and the other one is for stat checking

i generally run off of 3 no matter what..
if im coding,
1 for coding,
1 for the broswer, and
1 for the backend of the sites
it makes it faster to go back and forth between windows, kinda like editing on the fly

Well, while we're digging up threads from the grave...

I wish I had more monitors. You try running 4 websites with the owners constantly nagging you to change something, plus 7 of your own websites, on 1 monitor...
I had another monitor in the past that I used for my PC. It died. Only laptop screen now. D=
 
at the moment i have 3 pc's, one notebook and one netbook.
So i need more then one monitor.
The netbook is only for emails and to login to my important accounts, nothing else.
The main work i'm doing on the notebook.
Two pc's are small fanless ones that only have very few programs installed and they run almost 24/7.
They have their own monitors each.
The third pc is for xrumer, scrapebox and few other things and is only controlled through vnc and has no separate monitor.
So i have more monitors because i have more pc's but i really don't need more then one monitor per pc.

i have one iMac and one alienware laptop. I use my iMac to browse, chat, editing sites, etc. and my laptop for seo tools (like AMR, SB, SickSubmitter, etc.)
 
I currently have 2 monitors, a 20" and a 22", I'm going to set up a third one soon. You really don't NEED them for IM, I use them for a ton of other stuff though. I can never go back to just 1.

The only difference is my muti-monitor stand is a grommet, not freestanding like the above.

What do I need it for?

Monitor 1 for Google news so i can keep a handle on trends etc
Monitor 2 for Outlook
Monitor 3 for Mozilla
Monitor 4 for Internet explorer
Monitor 5 for FOREX charts
Monitor 6 for watching the actual forex trades while referring to monitor 5.
