hi all

i am doing PPV for 3 months and tested 400++ offers. Managed to find some converting offer but it die slowly. i managed to generate USD 6,500 in total and spent USD 6,200 in traffic cost, That mean i am only profit usd 300 for 3 months. I am doing it fulltime(18-20 hours perday) and that is why i think it is totally suck!!!

i am totally halt now(BUT NOT GIVE UP) i cant be doing the same thing and waste another 3 month to get same result. i don't know what else i need to do. buidling landing page?, build list? what else i can do that really can bring me to next level? Any advance courses out there i can take on how to really scale your PPV to 5 figure?

Really hope someone can give me some "light"!

Thanks
Simon

What PPV sites have you been using TafficVance,Media Traffic etc?
Have you been direct linking or creating your own landing pages?

PPV is a very precise cookie to crack. It's not always the best way to test out a niche that you arent already balls deep into. Also...you gotta be creative, and you have to know your target market really really well.

It's been said before, but the best way to do it, is to use the PPV to capture leads to a relevant market, and then use mailings to warm up & convert.

Also...if I may say so myself...if you aren't stuffing your PPV traffic, you're fully dressed at the orgy.

hello,
I'm a ex PPV site owner.. unfortunately the day only has 24 hours and we all have a life outside the web that needs to be leaved.. and so I run out of time to manage my ppv site...

I contracted at least 5 different admins and they didn't were up to the job a lost all the money I have made, and end up with 96% of the users being robot's, proxy users, hackers and botnets ... and then I had to shut down the site...

If you can make serious money on PPV if you know your audience and the traffic is from real humans :) I can guarantee that!

sandycat is wright, you need to take the most advantage from your traffic... think that the guys that go to ppv are people that need money and have some spear time..

so show them what they want: a way to earn money without doing any thing.. or ways to spend the time they have... movies and tv shows .....

try to include 2 offers on the same page :D.. be creative

try to negotiate whit the traffic sources, demand results from your traffic sources, question the type of user verification... ;) and you will reduce big time the amount of money you are spending

My final advise:you can make money... but start thinking out side the ppv's and try new ways of making money!

Migcosta is precisely right. You have to use that traffic from every single angle possible. Just popping up a generic affiliate ad that gets seen all over the internet isn't going to return shit to your bank account.

I thinking of starting up a PPV campaign since adwords is too saturated on everything I want to try, and my QS goes down to a low CTR on the campaigns im hitting the front page for since I'm all the way at the bottom.

Anyways, I'm going to go the route of builing a mailing list...but also, would one of those flogs (fake blogs) / internet news sites landers work best for the traffic? And I'm guessing it would be good to target a sort of general niche, like make money, or weight loss?

Thanks

I totally agree. The question is how to target and convert the traffic.

Hi ubermann

I am using MT,DirectCPV and Adon. I am doing diretc linking.

Sandycat
Yea i guess i need to start capture leads and do mailing. By the way What do you mean by "stuffing your PPV traffic"?

Migcosta
Wow! your info is real valuable, at least now i know what does it mean by junk traffic and the people behind those traffic.
New angle for me to think.

Thanks

My advice to you would be

1. Get into TV asap. That and MT are my recommendations. MT traffic for offers which convert is lower but with lesser price and better ROI for small amounts.

2. TV on the other hand , if you know and have the correct campaigns can provide high 3 figure to low 4 figure incomes/day. Perhaps even more but thats where i am presently so cannot guarantee beyond my own experience.

3. LP's and Squeeze pages although are good for getting secondary use of the bucks you spent, however tend to lower the conversion rate significatly, especially for me.

4. Do url targetting rather then keyword targetting. Only a couple of keywords ever gave me good returns , so personally i am not very fond of them.

5. Stuffing is a part of PPV which you can choose to employ to improve CTR. Can provide details via PM if required

6. The key with PPV is finding those offers which convert and scaling them fast before competition enters and sucks the life out of it :).

7. For me direct linking works best but thats just me :) Others might think differently. I like to keep things simple.

Most of the PPV guys i know who do well are ones with pretty high budget as gone are those days when you get 200-400% returns. The norm these days is anywhere between 20-40% on regular days and 70-90% ( which wont last a long time) if you hit those quality offers which convert well.

thats valuable infor right there..Im a n00b at this and on MT. I dont have much money to spend to test on each campaign. Im working with like ten bucks per campaign. So far I havent found anything that made me a profit. Broke even on a few. My question is when do you guys dump your campaigns. For example i had a campaign i was working on after about spending 7 dollars i only made 2.40 in commission. Was i right to cut my losses?
Also what is this stuffing talk?

Good stuff... Is there any good training out there that we can lay our eyes on for the ppv stuff?

Apologies for the late reply. I sort of missed the question there.

Personally it depends on the offer payout. If it is a $20 payout then I would typically spend $50 experimenting. You can adjust accordingly with a minimum budget of $20/campaign. Also make sure you track which url/keyword is getting how many clicks and remove the non functional ones if the clicks are high without any result.

Once you get an offer which converts even 1 in 100 clicks , you can optimize your campaign by testing things. At least you know the offer works.

Edit : About Stuffing , have had too many PM's asking me what it was. I should have put it there on the thread itself my mistake. It is basically using a script behind an image which when the browser opens at the users side will forcefully save the cookie onto the client computer. What happens this way is that although the person was not referred by you it will show you as the referrer if you do cookie stuffing. IT IS ONE OF THE EASIEST WAYS OF GETTING SCREWED OVER.

My Recommendation : DO NOT DO IT. TOO RISKY

Disclaimer : I definitely do not do it myself.

The best method would be creating a very simple squeeze page and capture leads and forward users to a CPA offer on Thank You page. This way you have your list & affiliate sales in the same time.

How can you verify with your PPV network that your views are from humans VS bots?

Simon,
immediate edge has a course on PPV campaigns. It's $100/month. I am using it but haven't seen profitable results. At least I'm enjoying the learning, haha.

Like most methods there is a fine line between making a profit and supporting others making a profit.
