I think we all have seen the CL related journeys posted lately, most is pretty informative and interesting - atleast for me.

I have decided to jump on the wagon, I will not promote on CL, I will making money on an adult site....yes adult website, which alot of people have said not to make money anymore, except for the big players.

This fact could make it alot more interesting, and maybe more easy to fail.
Anyway....he who never try, never win, as they say.

Status as per 1/7/2009;

- 1 dedicated server (very fast and reliable hosting company)
- 1 Adult website (Launching tomorrow for beta test)
- All mail related stuff is up and running.
- All banner rotation solutions up and running.
- Approved by quite alot of networks in various niches.
- 1 offshore bank account set up in Bermuda (I had it from previous ventures)
- A "decent" idea on how to drive traffic to the site.
- Alot of good karma from irl money making ventures.

I will post more or less every day with updates on;

- Earnings (also if it is 0)
- Traffic (also if 0)
- General observations I make along the way.

I have read alot of stuff here, but never really did any of it, but one thing sticks to my memory: Aim for the demograph of your surfers and not only try to sell more porn to them.
Porn surfers are regular people (most of them) and they will buy the same crap as everyone else. Viagra and penis enlargement springs to my mind.

Even though this is not the most popular thread I intent to update it as promissed

Site has just been launched 10 minutes ago and I now have 3 members.

Update.....

Traffic and memberships are coming slow and steady
I have still not promoted the site other than on my twitter profile, and a single spam post in a chat room (just for testing)

I now has 74 members, out of which 90% has given correct mail addresses
The members with false addresses will be deleted tomorow morning!

I am very happy to see that I already has earnt a few $ on some free sponsor sign up's
I have also have a pretty good (IMO) overall CTR - 1:80 - overall for my banners and text links.

The click earnings made me really surprised, I got about 50 clicks with no/little traffic and they are paying 0.05$ each.

Now it's just a matter of scaling up and monitor the CTR for each banner zone in order to maximize profit.

Once my membership database reach 5000 members, will I send out - I think I will try a viagra offer or a free mail submit - to the members, it will depend on the niche of the banner with the highest CTR.

I might not update this the next few days as my 2 small girls come tomorrow morning and spend most of the weekend here, I have a very strict rule about internet (especially adult) when they are here.

EDIT: Just before I posted this, I took down my link on twitter, now that I sit and enjoy my goodnight cigarette I suddenly see 3 new members is signing up, it could be from twitter but I hope it's some kind of "mouth to mouth" advertising.

Awesome, where are you getting your content? Are you uploading all of it or are you paying someone to get it. Is it new stuff or just videos from other porn sites .

Small update....

The kids just got picked up and I have just had a quick look at my stats;

- 3 free member sign up's to one of the offers that I am advertising.
- 1 paid membership to cams.com
- Roughly 50 clicks on my PPC sponsor (0.05$ per click)
- 13 clicks on another PPC sponsor, with a signup ratio of: 1:13 making it a total of $1.82

And still no promotion from me, although I did add a few links on some (crappy) toplists last night

I want to add a cool chat to the site, so any suggestions will be very welcome.

Update....

Another slow day in regards to promotion, a few random tweets and re-tweets.
Traffic was once again slow, but I still got 150+ clicksa and a few sign-up's

I just got allocated a campaign worth $5000 at $0.07 a click.
I will add a simple text chat later this week (I hope) I also had contact to guy from BWH....He wanted help on SEO and traffic - sadly I had to tell him that I dont have a clue of either I promissed him some links on my site. Other members in the adult business is also welcome for link exchanges.

I hate to sound arrogant, but I would like to get in contact with SERIOUS e-whores who can fake cam girls, since I am not promoting datelink, datinggold, cams.com or any of the other popular offers there should be plenty of space for a few "pro" e-whores.

Overall I am pretty happy with the way I implementedthe theme "for amateurs, by amateurs" however my domain sounds a bit to much like a pay site

I will not start promotion before next Monday, hopefully the chat will be in place before that.
