Hello guys, BHW helped me a lot so tnx to all great people who are posting here. Time to give back and hopefully this small post with basic information and the most important difference in earnings will be helpful for new people. Also if you have any questions feel free to ask.

Admin sorry if this is in the wrong category.

On one of my site I used 3 different ads providers for over 2 years and they are Mediavine, Ezoic, and Adsense.

Adsense

First, we will start with Adsense. This is from greedy google. Overall it is pure trash. Revenue is so low that is not worth having them on your site.

Simply it is not worth putting ads from AdSense because it will slow down your site speed and you will earn nothing. If you hit 10K visits per month go straight to ezoic.

Ezoic

It is great for new websites to earn money. You can see how much I was earning per day with Adsense and how much I was earning from Ezoic. The biggest problem that you will have with ezoic is site speed. Ezoic scripts are so heavy and they will drastically slow down your website. I am not an expert in site speed but what every i did i could not increase site speed while using ezoic. Because your site will load slowly your bounce rate will be increased.

In my opinion, it is worth it to get slower site speed so you should go on Ezoic as soon you can because we are here to earn money, and that money you can reinvest in content, backlinks, or better hosting. One more thing is that Ezoic can have some weird ads.

Ezoic haves great customer service that is willing to help you.

Mediavine

Mediavine is great but it is hard to get in. The first thing that you need to have is 50k users per month. I had around 90k but problem is that only half of the users are from the United States. More traffic from the United States you have easier you will get in. Also, you have to be accepted by the publishers of ads. Probably I got in because i have a nice looking website that is fast with unique content. Also, they have great support that will lead you through every step on how to install their ads.

When it comes to site speed you will barely feel and difference between Mediavine ads or without ads. Ads are loading fast and they are looking great. On top of that as I could see most of ads are related to the topic of your website.

When it comes to earning money they are paying much more than Ezoic and AdSense.

I mean.. This testing size is based on a single website.
Ezoic was horrible for me on all sites I tested.

You should probably specify what niche it is.

I got into Ezoic but I have been sitting on it and won't install the scripts. I am already pulling hair out optimizing page speed, I wouldn't think I can bear what Ezoic would do to my speed.
I am thinking of sucking it up until 50k sessions and waiting for mediavine. But you are saying it's not automatic at that point either? if 90k traffic x 50% (which is 45k US traffic) wasn't good enough, then they are expecting 100% of 50k to be from US?

Sorry, but I will not say my niche, there is already a lot of competitors. This was not a test, simply wanted to show people what they can expect.

I understand but again money that you can earn from ezoic can pay for your hosting, links, content, etc.

No its is not, they will check your site from top to bottom to see are you good enough for them. And after they check it, they will send your site to companies that buy ads from mediavine to check with them is it ok to put ads on your websites. If you get to 50k send it and try to get in. If they do not accept you wait some time, improve your site and get more users.

ezoic will slow your site much more than adsense... :)
Yes, but it all depends do you need money from ezoic to invest in your website or not. In my case it was worth it to have a slower site and get money to invest back. I did not notice any drop in rank after implementing ezoic.

You have tried several different ones on the same site, and then come to a conclusion, but that's not how it works.
Without knowing your niche it tells nothing, and even then, it is still only a single site.

First of all, I got to thank you for this amazing breakdown of your income with these ad networks.

I feel your pain about AdSense. It’s fairly easy to get into, but the payout is just lousy.

I was sending a huge amount of traffic to AdSense and walking away with very little to show for it.

I suppose with Mediavine and Ezoic, the name of the game is really niche content. So the higher the value of the niche, the more lucrative the income.

The problem with AdSense is that, for the most part, their focus is more on the Google search engine—that’s where the big payouts are.

And everybody else is basically left fighting for crumbs, which is too bad because of the three that you mentioned, AdSense is the easier one to get into.

Of course, it’s not easy if you have a new website, but it’s relatively easy to get into.

Also, one thing I have to throw out there is niche specificity because not all niches are the same when it comes to traffic volume.

The niches that I focus on tend to have lower traffic volume, but they tend to pay more.

I learned how to focus on these niches instead of high-volume niches like before.

These higher-revenue niches pay more, but they get less traffic.

So how does that square with Mediavine or Ezoic?

Everything that you said is 100% right.
This was the first site that I started 2 years ago. So to learn and test SEO and other stuff I went for an easier niche that I have a lot of knowledge. It is in a micro-niche and yes it is a niche that does not pay very well but when you add volume it is great for me. Most of the other niches will have a lot bigger RPM but they are harder to dominate and that is what makes people lose motivation and quit. I think that Mediavine and Ezoic will always pay better than Adsense.

In terms of site speedimpact for me, Mediavine dominated Ezoic. Glad that Ezoic was a stepping stone but not going to head back anytime soon.

Yes, the difference in site speed is insane. Did you notice any difference in ranking after switching to Mediavine because of site speed? In my case, everything was the same.

I've been beating my head against a wall to get ezoic to work on one of my sites hosted on namecheap. About to post a haf at this point and pay someone to do it for me lol

I use Namecheap too, and I keep getting "Origin error" whenever I change my nameservers to Ezoic. What exactly is your own problem? I guess Namecheap is not suitable with Ezoic.

The same problem, Namecheap is not compatible. You have to upgrade your stuff to a vps before they will whitelist ezoic IP's. Im just swapping hosts completly

I had problems with integration too, but I forgot how I fixed it. If you are changing hosting I would recommend you WPX hosting. They are a lit bit more expensive but they are great. Also, they will do the migration for you. I did migration when i was accepted in mediavine. But to be sure ask WPX support about ezoic and will you have any problems.
