I've read through the TOS for Adsense as far the types of traffic that are acceptable, but I'm confused. This is my first time doing a project outside of my usual PPC campaigns, and I need some clarification as to what types of traffic are allowed.

What types of traffic are allowed? And more importantly, what types of traffic are not allowed?

As long as I'm not sending artificial hits or trying to persuade visitors to click on ads etc., I'm confused as to why G cares about the types of traffic that are sent to sites with Adsense, but it seems that they do and I don't want to get my account banned out of ignorance. Thanks in advance for your input.

Google cares because there is a good percentage of ads that are CPM and it quickly will add up. Send valid traffic. If you have to question the traffic source it is a no go with adsense. Social media is fine as long as it is targeted and not spammed. Good luck

op, you should care about quality organic traffic in first place and not worrying that you may make G cry which will come back to you and cry even more ,-)
bare in mind bots don't buy anything, humans eventually - I used to mention that already somewhere before
    good luck

I think people are misunderstanding me. The traffic going through my site is high quality traffic, but it's paid traffic not organic search traffic. Search traffic is not the only form of quality traffic and my paid traffic is high quality with low bounce rates and an average time-on-site of over 6 minutes.

So, is all paid traffic a no-go for adsense, regardless of the quality?
