Adsense: How much text on the page?

I have an Adsense account ... I know that to get your site approved, you need articles with substantial text.

However, I'm wondering about what the requirements are if you want to use it on other sites. Do I need to have a certain word count on my articles in order to keep my Adsense account safe?

I have a viral-style site that I want to monetize with Adsense. In a lot of cases the main content is some photos or an embedded video, so I don't think people will be interested in reading a lot of text. Just need a few sentences to introduce the video etc. ... but will this be enough to keep Adsense happy?

Not if you are embedding youtube videos and you ever come up for a manual review. Put some text articles with a n image in between some of the videos so that it doesn't look like your content is only from yt videos.

I always shoot for between 250 words and 500 words.

Just to clarify, do you mean that some articles would be YT embeds with a few sentences, and other articles would be actual articles with photos? Or do you mean that each YT embed should also have a text article and image?

In my opinion, The most important thing about adsense is your traffic quality, avoid invalid clicks, and don't break the adsense rules, but I have difference opinion about the word count, this is base on my own experience, I've earn $1.7k this month from my website with just around 100 words on every pages, my account is doesn't have a problem for more than a year.

Adsense team would not review your account if your earning not too big. This is just my opinion, you can follow it by your own risk. I can provide you my adsense screenshot for the proof by pm.

I write 250-300 words of content directly related to the video. It's easy to do, make some comments about the video, etc and you will have all the content you need for that post. To make it look legitimate include some posts with no videos, some with images and some without.
