AdSense approval using Amazon VPS

Silly question - i have seen tons of people using Amazon VPS to register on AdSense. What is your experience - do you get paid? I think log in from amazon IPs can be a strong signal for Google to find out there is something strange. With rising number of people using bought AdSense accs there must be tons of people using same IP/C class... Eg. why a normal publisher would use VPS right? I have a friend who got banned before payout even though everything other was ok - using his friend address, email, new website, content original etc.. just like Google want. 20th after reaching 100USD = ban
