Ads getting clicks mostly from unexpected locations

I seen this too when bidding is too low for your main geo. the platforms shifts delivery to cheaper countries to get you clicks. I usually increase bids for target locations or restrict others completely to fix it.

Yes, it’s normal sometimes ads can reach nearby or loosely matched locations, but you should review location settings and exclusions if it’s too much.

Sometimes it’s due to VPN/proxy traffic or network distribution, so try restricting to presence only targeting and monitor placements closely.

Yes, this happens a lot, sometimes google shows ads in random location settings and exclude unwanted countries, that usually helps.

Happens sometimes due to IP mismatch or network partners, so check your location option and turn off expanded reach if needed.

Yes I faced this too, sometimes traffic comes from random locations even if targeting is set right. try changing location option to presense only and exclude bad counties helps a bit.

It can happen when the platform uses user behavior signals instead of strict GPS, so some clicks come from outside your target area review location options and exclude unwanted regions.

This is usually because Google’s default setting is "Presence or Interest," so you must switch your Location Options to "Presence: People in or regularly in your targeted locations" to stop the algorithm from showing ads to users who are simply searching about your target region from elsewhere.
Exactly, that 'presence or interst' default is a total budget killer if you don't switch it manually.

yeah it happens often, I usually double check location settings and exclude presence or interest option to keep traffic more accurate.
