Adrenal Fatigue - Anyone Ever Experience This?

I think I may have a mild adrenal fatigue, I always feel lazy and tired no matter how long I sleep. I found this questionnaire which suggests that I've got a mild adrenal fatigue. Take a look, it might help you out.

By the way, my most affected area's from the quiz where these:

- I have difficulty getting up in the morning (don't really wake up until about 10:00 AM).
- I suddenly run out of energy.
- I usually feel my best after 6:00 PM.
- I am often tired at 9:00-10:00 pm, but resist going to bed.
- I like to sleep late in the morning.
- My best, most refreshing sleep often comes between 7:00-9:00 AM.
- I often do my best work late at night (early in the morning).
- If I don't go to bed by 11:00 PM, I get a second burst of energy around 11:00 PM, often lasting until 1:00-2:00 AM.
- I crave sweet foods (pies, cakes, pastries, doughnuts, dried fruits, candies or desserts.)

Have you had any blood work done? I was going through the same thing and resorted to diet / energy pills just to get through work. I was so exhausted after every shift I was sleeping from 6pm till the next morning. And if I wasnt sleeping I was near tears from the aches, pains and heavy limbs.

Turned out I was overstressed and low on Iron and ive since been put on Iron suppliments. ( I hate them though so now just eat well )

Also i don't know what it's like in the US but in the UK most doctors just laugh at you if you mention things like adrenal fatigue. I have found it's pointless going to doctors with something vague like 'feeling really tired all the time' they usually just try to give you antidepressants..

That's so true. :loco:

Exactly. I had the same problem for months. I was told my job is strenuous but I explained I was fine the first 6 months, the fastest, in fact. But now I could hardly even flip a duvet cover without pain in my arms. ( Im a maid ) but eventually I begged for blood work and got my answer.

You definitely have to be consistent and if they keep sending you home keep making appointments until they actually do something, or treat your health in a different country.

You could have a gluten or wheat intolerance or full blown celiac disease. It's the most undiagnosed disease supposedly affecting 1% of everyone.

actually that's a good point. or one of many other food intolerances

You mentioned you live near the beach. I recommend getting yourself a seakayak or surfski and get out on the water. It's just a unique way of connecting with nature. It's just you, the sea and your boat. I paddle at least 50 miles a week and get out there at least 3 times a week.
It doesn't matter how old you are as it's a low impact workout.

I beleive if you eat well and regularly do something active that you enjoy that everything else seems to sort itself out. (torturing yourself in an indoors gym doesn't really count)
