My old admob account became useless because I failed the ID verification. I tried to scan my ID few times but it refused each time (despite it's my legal id & photo quality was good). Then, I created a fresh admob account and it's going to ask for verification. What should I do? Do I request pin to my address (the old way)?

PIN is only for address, it won’t replace the ID check anymore. If the first one failed, fresh account with same name/address/payment profile can get linked and stuck too.

Try passport if you have one, or rescan the ID with all 4 corners visible, no crop, no glare, same exact legal name as payment profile. Also dont upload edited/compressed pics from whatsapp etc, Google rejects those a lot. If it still fails, better fix/appeal the old account than keep making new ones, admob is pretty annoying with this now.

PIN won’t help for ID anymore, that’s just address/payment threshold stuff. If the new one has same payee name, address, phone, device/browser etc it can still get tied to the old failed profile sooner or later.

Best shot is use passport if you have it, upload direct photo not scan, no crop, all corners visible, same spelling/order as payment profile. Also check if your ID has local language vs English name mismatch, that causes stupid rejects sometimes. If it fails again don’t keep burning accounts, open the verification appeal on the old one and ask for manual review.

PIN won't save you here, that part is just address confirmation after the account is already acceptable. For ID, Google is picky in dumb ways... even a tiny mismatch like middle name missing, address format, local language spelling, expired/near expiry ID, or scan looking “too processed” can fail it.

I’d stop touching the fresh account for now if it has same details, because if it gets linked you just create more mess. Use passport if possible, take a fresh phone photo in daylight on plain background, all edges visible, no filters, no crop, no pdf converter. If it rejects again, appeal/manual review on the original account is probably cleaner than making more admob accounts.

Same happened to a friend with Adsense, not admob, and the problem was actually the payment profile name order. Google had first/last swapped vs the ID, kept rejecting like it was fake. So before you upload again check the payee name, DOB, address, everything matches exactly. PIN is useless for this part.

I wouldn’t make more fresh accounts with same info either, they usually connect them later and then it’s harder to explain. Best clean route is passport or a new clear phone pic of the ID, then if rejected ask for manual review on the old account. No edits, no pdf, no “enhance” app stuff.

@GuyHangingAround check the payments profile first before you upload anything again. If the profile itself is already marked failed/restricted, new admob on top of it won’t magically pass, Google just sees same payee behind it. PIN is later stage, not a workaround for identity.

Also don’t use scanner if it keeps failing... phone photo usually passes better than a scan because scans look cropped/processed. If your ID has non-English text, try passport or whatever doc shows the name exactly like the payment profile.

One thing not mentioned much is country mismatch. If your payments profile country/address is not exactly where the ID was issued, Google can reject it without explaining properly. Also don’t submit while on VPN/proxy or some random VPS browser, it just adds more trust issues to an already flagged profile.

@GuyHangingAround I’d leave the new account alone for now and fix the payments profile/doc issue first. PIN is not gonna bypass identity, it only proves mail address after they already accept you as a real payee. Fresh daylight phone pic, original file upload, same name order, same country, no edits... if still dead then manual review is the only sane route.
