    How true is this?

    The situation.

You have main domain for your hosting that is,

    maindomain.com

Then you bought new domain at namecheap and point the dns to the existing hosting. Your new domain is,

    newdomain.com

When you addon this domain, you can access newdomain.com at maindomain.com subdomain like this.

    newdomain.maindomain.com

To solve this, just do wildcard redirect.

    BUT!

you can also access the newdomain.com from the maindomain directore folder like this,

    maindomain.com/newdomain.com

Or whatever folder you name the folder for the root of newdomain.com.

I've tried using redirect in the cPanel.
    It don't work.

    Beside addon.
Subdomain also have this kind of problems.

    For example.
We make new subdomain for the main domain.

    sub.maindomain.com

This also can be access with

    maindomain.com/sub

    What do you think?

    How to solve?
    Ignore?

    Thanks in advance. :)

why don't you create the addon with this path:

    newdomain.com/public_html

    Rather than:
    public_html/newdomain.com

Much easier to keep track of that way too.

Are you sure we can do that?
As far as I know, only the one inside public_html will be visible to the world wide web.

    Anyway I'll try this...
If it's not work, I'll laugh at myself... :D
If it's work, 1 thank you or rep is for you... ;)

If addon domains cannot function by itself when called for, then what's the point of paying for a multi-domain abled hosting account. It should be able to run the addon domain (hxxp://addondomainname.com) so long it has a index page in the directory.

However, i've ever experience tried unsuccessfully to run an image gallery (php script) directly from the addondomain but it runs ok when routing through the maindomain (hxxp://maindomain.com/addondomain/ )

Bottom line is - the best solution to run multi-domains from one account is to have a basic reseller account whereby each domain can be created separately and has its truly own Cpanel, etc.

    All script works...
I only stress on the "duplicate content" issue...
