Adding websites to webmater tools.

I have a new website and i would like to add it into webmaster tools account.So far so good but i have some questions that i hope you will help me with the right answers.

1. What to verify... www.site.com http:site.com or both versions?
2.Vhat kind of redirect to add that google can see the both versions as one website?
3.Doeas anybody knows how to synchronize the search results between data centers? I m on 1st page on a lot of google servers but on 3rd page for the country i try to rank.

easiest way if you have ftp.. upload it file. then click verify

A 301 redirect I believe.
