Adding videos to my Site: Thin content?

Since my main site (8k visitors/day) took a nosedive after the HCU, I've been focusing my efforts elsewhere: YouTube.

I've been creating videos in a similar format as I did my blog posts, and it's been going decently well.

Now here's my question, which may be a dumb one, but I genuinely have no idea experience with this.

Can I add these YouTube videos to my site as separate articles WITHOUT adding any content to it?

And if so, what's better: page or article?

I'm asking this question because I'm worried that this will count as 'thin content' and will further destroy my website which has already been deemed 'unhelpful' by the big G.

Does anyone have experience with this?

Is this a good idea, or is it better to place them inside articles with text? The main downside to this method would be that the video would be considered 'not part of the main content' meaning it wouldn't rank in Google video mode.

you probably mean page or post, not article. Regardless, it doesn't matter...

it's your site, you can do whatever you want with it.

But I don't think you'll rank the pages / posts that contain the video alone, you might need to add walls of text...

yeah, I, too have a feeling that it will be marked as thin content, but - like I mentioned above - I am talking exclusively about the pages that host the videos. Your other pages might be OK...

Also, "unhelpful" doesn't always mean thin content, it could mean many things: AI content, low quality (usually when you don't address the intent / topic of your keyword in detail), poor content optimization, etc...

yeah, I'd put them inside of established articles. But ONLY if they are relevant to the existing content, otherwise I think it's better to create new content on the topic of the videos.
