Recently i created one post in my blog, and also added tags also but one of my friends told, don't add tags in posts, Please anyone suggest me, adding tags are useful or not.

proper tags are really worthy but remember it will not the cause of duplicate posts,as well category based tags are not good for google crawler.

I have been adding tags to my blog posts since day one and my blog has a domain authority of a 78 so I think it's really important to add relevant tags to all your blog posts

The problem with tags is people use them like shit.
You write about notebook computers on a blog about notebook computers and then add a tag "notebook". That tag is going to match everything. It's useless.
But if instead your tag is DELL-modelX-whatever then it's useful.
People misuse tags and they become spam, that's the problem.

I also hate tags too. There have been a couple of times where a tag outranks the page/post I was wanting to rank for. So now I don't use them very often at all.

yeah you can tag your articles, make some inner links in your articles from one to another related articles

Avoid tags or just make them no index.

I'm sure the tags are useful. you can do it implicitly and not attract attention.
