Adding Peer on μtorrent (Torrent Client)

I was sending some files to a friend through peer to peer file sharing application or torrent client. I had created a torrent file, and sent him to him. But, the point is that the trackers, DHT, Local Peer Discovery, and Peer Exchange doesn't make my friend visible in my torrent client nor on his. So, i need to manually add him using his IP address.

The option for adding a peer is somewhat like [IP ADDRESS]:[PORT NUMBER].

I can know his IP Address through WhatsMyIp.com, but how to i know the number trailing so that i can add him as peer in the torrent client and so forth he can download what i am uploading for him.

wetransfer might be easier no? (depending on file size, obviously)

Yes. That is there. But, P2P file sharing has it's own advantages. It can share at higher speeds, without the involvement of any 3rd party services.
I have used WeTransfer before. But, the point is that it doesn't allow files more than 2 GB at a time.

I don't know if all of them stopped using torrents for P2P file sharing. There are better methods now i guess.
