Adding lower thirds to videos?

Is there any automated way to add these to videos? Ive been using Filmora to do it, but it takes to long I have 100s of videos I want to add the lower thirds banners to.

There are two ways that I can think of doing this in After Effects. The semi-automated way would be to create a comp with your video and the lower third on-top of it. Render it out, then replace the footage with another video file, update the lower-third, render it out. Do that over and over for each video.

The fully automated (but absolutely horrendously complex way) would be to properly automate the job using After Effects expressions, plug-ins and scripts. I've not done this way personally, but I've read numerous articles around "data driven design" where ideas similar to what you're talking about are accomplished. I unfortunately can't post links because I don't post frequently enough, but google "after effects automation" and you'll find the Adobe documentation.

Thanks I imagine the first method wouldn't be any faster than what I'm doing with filmora right now, unless After effects perhaps encodes video faster than filmora. Happen to know?

Other than that I'll look into option two to see if it's something I can even figure out.

The speed of rendering is wholly dependent on your computer's capabilities, the video resolution and the complexity of your lower thirds animation. You can send your After Effects projects to render farms to render them out quickly, but it will cost some money (I'd ballpark $7-$15 for a 3 minute video). You can Google "after effects project render service" or "After effects render farms" to see the services that are available and estimate costs. Another option is outsourcing it to a VA or asking some people on Fiverr.

Do it with Camtasia Studio, alot more easier.
Just drag ..drop and then save the video.
