Adding Clickbank adhops to blogger?

When I put up the html/javascript widget the ads don't appear. I have tried both the sidebar and under the post. I watched a video and it was simple but for some reason my ads did not appear. I even tried Amazon just to see and they didn't appear either. Anyone have any ideas? I would really appreciate it as I have been working on it for 3 hours.

I've never had a problem with my own websites but this is the first time I have tried blogger.

I'm not looking for hyperlinks but rather hopads from CB (the ads that look like adsense) AND for Amazon I am looking for the text plus image.
