Hi everyone,

I have a website ranking 1-3 for several keywords, and in every article, I add 1 or 2 Amazon product. They're just images like "Buy this XXX now at the best price on Amazon". Well, nothing special, I'm getting some sales, but I'm pretty sure I can increase that.
Lately, for another project, I bought a WP Plugin that allow me to get products feed directly from Amazon and create product pages on Woo Commerce based on content from the Amazon page. Well, to be honest it looks really nice.

Right now on my site, I also added an a-store widget, but it's ugly. I would like to use the same plugin I bought, and import products from Amazon, but I fear the duplicate content penalty. I don't care about ranking the product pages, as I'm getting traffic from my articles. But if I add theses product pages, could this lower my rankings on all the site cause of the duplicate descriptions and images ?

Hope some of you can advice me. Thanks !

If you are adding amazon products into your articles, it is ok. But don't forget to add rel nofollow attribute. Amazon astore is not a good solution for affiliates.

Actually I was more planning on adding a page "Store" on my website with products imported with the plugin.
Can that impact the whole site for duplicate content, or just the product page (which I don't care if they don't rank at all) ?

Why not use a separate domain for the store. Like store.yourdomain

I agree completely. There is no value in adding a store which sell products that people can find directly via amazon. It also might hurt your rankings.

Do more product reviews so you can add more affiliate links or make it to another domain. People who land on your blog will visit it anyway

If you have duplicate content on your website then it will harm your entire site. Better stay off from that idea of automated posting on products. You can hire a freelancer to do that in cheap rate.

the duplicate content thing will hurt you mainly if your duplicating your own content on your site.

you can have duplicate content that appears on Amazon's site or another and Google will rank accordingly to who's was up first, etc. you won't get a penalty for that, just if you do duplicate stuff on your own site over and over.

G also has been paying attention to automated content so you might want to watch that area as they've been on a website killing spring the past couple years. There are some plugins that can help you pull content in and rearrange for more originality. Cannot remember which one, but if you edit a little, you'll have more original looking content. Plus there's so many sites out there already that just obviously pull the info off of Amazon and then direct you to the same page they pulled from. That little effort can pay off and keep people coming back to you as they trust blog reviews more now than on a companie's website.
