Adding affiliate link will affect the youtube rankings & recommendations ?

Anyone have experince in this?
If we add affiliate link from amazon, will it affect the ranking of the channel/ video ?

Once one of my video was performing well and I tried adding a pinned comment, then suddenly recommended views dropped to zero.

It is said that everything that leads viewers away from YouTube can potentialy have a negative impact on your rankings. I know most people still use amazon affiliate links in order to make some cash, so I would take this with a grain of salt. But apparently YouTube doesn't like if a majority of your audience is leaving your video to a different website and will therfore "punish" you.

Just try it mate, I have videos that link to Ogads and Amazon and until now it still ranks... I don't believe that it will affect ranking, maybe some videos but not all.
