Serious co-sign on this. Any of the tower defense games are fun occasionally, but I've spent a fair share of time playing Desktop Tower Defense in the past few years.

And to everyone saying they don't have the time because of BH stuff, take a walk outside, take a deep breath, count to 10, and release. Having fun is okay. Sitting in front of your computer all night and day is not okay.

i actually spend a lot of time playing online games. here are a few of the one's i like best:

Gunbound - multiplayer online turn based shooter similar to "Worms" (very addictive)
LaserAge - Arcade style galaga type shooter with online leaderboards. (will make you insane)
Secret of the Solstice - 2d sprite based real time mmorpg which reminds me of old snes console rpgs

I'm not sure if Gunbound is free to play but there are emulator or cloned versions of the same game that people run for free. LaserAge and Secret of the Solstice are completely free to download and play.

I do not play games online. The reason is am always scared that I can be addicted to the games and that means that there is so little that I can do once I have an internet connection. I will say it is just a form of discipline that I have tried to cultivate in myself so as to avoid having issues when am online.
