I'm curious to read what IMs that have great experience in this matter have to say about adding a language to an existing WP based company website.

How would you go about setting up an added language to the established one in English set up on the main domain...

Thanks for any constructive input!

Easiest thing is to set up another WP blog on a sub-folder e.g. "/spanish/".

If you want to do many more languages there may be a better way.

or you might do subdomain...but this would mean you have to duplicate content, isnt it? like if you wanna sell the same products to customers in spanish and english language

Yeah, that's what I've done before and I don't mind doing it again.
I was just checking if something there was new I didn't know about.

Thanks!

I've usually done another folder. In my case the duplicated issue is not really an issue because it would be selling services, not goods, and anyway, not even really selling, just describing, it's a company website.

Thanks!

There is a plugin for Wordpress that does all the hard job.
I have bought it and used some time ago and it was very nice and easy.
No need for multiple WP installs, multiple databases and shit like this :P
This is the link to the pluign homepage: http://wpml.org/
But same as this plugin I think that you can find other plugins that are FREE
Cheers
