I'm doing a bit of optimization to my site, and my theme displays a link to to the comments at the top of the posts near the title. It's unobtrusive and looks decent, since my site gets a lot of interaction.

However, I realized that it's a followed link, so that means 3 links pointing internally to the same thing (title of the post, "read more" link, and the #comments link).

I was Googling for this but I can't seem to find any recent code -- I found this, but the syntax looks a bit different to what I have on my theme files:

    I am using this theme:

    (metro pro on genesis framework)

Can someone please dumb it down? I'm not a coding genius by any means lol.

I've gotten a step closer and figured out some of the calls in PHP from the codex, but I am still racking my brain.

I am willing to pay for help.

did you consider using pages instead of posts with comments turned off so they dont dilute density and dont bring useless links? even nofollow links count as links so

however answer should be in comments.php

Yeah, but its already an established blog so I can't just turn them all into pages. Although I will be doing that for future projects.

Comment links are already nofollow by default. I am talking about the small "x comments" or "leave a comment" links that show up on the blog pages. It is followed and wastes internal juice.
