Is it safe to send traffic from adcenter to a site that has adsense on it?
Will adsense ban you for sending adcenter traffic to your website?

Thats a good question. You could use an arbitrage method if the price for keywords were vastly different on the two networks. While thats unlikely, its possible that you could do well.
As for the traffic being safe for adsense, I'm not sure.

Pretty sure they wouldnt care but also not sure if that will pay off for you. Test it and find out.

I wouldn't think they would care either, but I just want to make sure. I know that adsense doesn't seem to like non-search engine traffic.

I don't see any reason why it wouldn't be safe to use adcenter with adsense. AdCenter probably brings in some high quality traffic, which would probably convert pretty well. I would say, go for it!

No I can assure you it's not safe; since I've had three accounts banned for doing it. Was fine for months but when I got over $150 a day, bans followed quick. I made many 10s of thousands doing this but trust me, if your monies get up there, your account will be scrutinized closely... and using adcenter traffic = ban. Guess they don't like paid traffic at all... or they don't like arbitrage. Too bad really because the traffic is great quality... so I don't really see the problem.

in my experience they look at the content first, and then take action.

Fair enough, I suppose it may have been the MFA ish nature of the site!

Ok, but my site isn't a made for adsense site. Basically what I'm trying to do is send adcenter traffic to a website that has Affiliate ads as well as adsense, and then a bunch of text.

For example, the page will be like

Ad For Affililiate
Bunch of useful information/reviews
Adsense ad
More useful information

So far what I'm finding is that the affiliate profits cover the adcenter ad cost, and then anything that adsense makes is profit.

My question is, how would Google even know where the traffic is coming from? Is the adsense code like Analytics and somehow able to track referrers?
Either way, I still don't understand why they would care. The traffic quality is top notch, the site isn't "Made for Adsense" and I would assume that it converts since its targetted and the clicks wouldn't be accidental.

Does anyone else have any experiences related to this that they can share?

I've just done a quick Google search on this and the results I'm getting pretty much reflect what's being said here in this thread. Some people are saying that sending Adcenter visitors to your site is a big "no no" while others are saying that they've been doing it for years and that it works great.

It seems that quite a few people are mis-informed and think that Google's rules forbid advertising. That isn't the case. There's a big "UNLESS" in their guidelines which says something about good traffic, proper landing pages, blah blah blah

It basically seems like Google is refusing to answer this question because they accept it sometimes and then ban you other times. They obviously don't like "Made for Adsense" sites... but I think that describes pretty much every website out there that has adsense on it. If it wasn't profitable... people wouldn't be making those sites in the first place.

I've used it now for a few days, with quite a bit of success and my account isn't banned yet. It would be nice if someone had a more concrete answer.

No I can assure you it's not safe.

I can assure the same, they will ban the Adsense account and the reason is exactly what you mentioned: They hate any form of arbitrage. It's all fine as long as you make a few dollars a day, but once you hit triple digits daily you'll get a manual review and no matter how good your site is, arbitrage with Adsense means banhammer.

yes i agree with him..."They hate any form of arbitrage"
