So last month I figured I'd put up some adbrite ads and see how well it went. I get decent daily traffic and I figured I'd get a good 10-20$ daily for the ads. I didn't really care too much about this so I never checked back. I checked back today and...

So, this week I got 225,000 impressions to my ad.

Of those 225,000 impressions only 288 clicked the ads. Thats a .1% CTR. Talk about untargeted random ass ads.

Now heres the best part. From the 288 clicks I got FOUR DAMN DOLLARS! Thats less than 2 cents every click.

Seriously, this is total bullshit. I got banned from adsense (god knows why) back three months ago when I was getting around 6000 hits a day. Even then I was averaging 8$ a day. Imagine what I should be getting now with the traffic. Seriously, adbrite sucks. I don't know if you guys also have had bad experiences with them or maybe have had good ones, but I really truly regret ever signing up with this company.

I empathize completely bro. Adbrite and Clicksor run the exact same random crap. Meager earnings.

Is there a proper alternative to Adsense?? I haven't found it... Maybe YPN when they get their shit straight.

Now my question is, with traffic like that why are you focused on CPC?

    Haha!

Dude you realize you could be making thousands a day with that traffic.

Do some BlackHatCodeBreaking, iFraming/Surveys, Uploading.com DLs, PPV, CPA BANNERS.

AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, CS THAT FUCKING BITCH!

    Adbrite... pff.... Even adsense man..

Cmon, with traffic like that I expect better from you.

It pays shit. I think you mean advertising though, in which case yeah it's good.

But on a publisher side, it's god awful.

Cheap advertiser = Low $$$ for publisher. Simple as that.

lol man, I'm doing those things already - its for a website similar to uploading.com, so no way I'm gonna link to them :p

I already have cpa banners and surveys up, I'm just trying to maximize the PPC earnings... I also use bidvertiser but get only like 70$/month because they too are shit. Man, I really wish there were some better ad networks out there :(

haha, if only... advertiser scrubbing is an absolute absolute bitch. If i try to get around it and pay for only the leads I get the users make hardly any money and everyone is pissed off and leaves. If not and I pay for all downloads even though I get scrubbed to death I lose large amounts of money from my should-be earnings depending on how the advertisers are feeling that day. Lose-lose, lol. (FYI, I chose not to screw over my users but instead pay them for everything, I don't like screwing people over, unlike most advertisers) It's not as picture perfect as everyone thinks (and as I thought)...

Adbrite ads are not targetted at all. You get the most random crap ever that has absolutely nothing to do with the content.

Not only that but you will be waiting 3 months or so for your cheque (Net 60). Just so not worth it.

Incentive email submits are different though, they get scrubbed much more. Trust me, I've used pretty much every network imaginable. And I don't wanna go BH and blank referers to use non-incentive offers cause I can't afford a network ban... also, as time goes on you end up getting scrubbed more and more, so while things may be going great one month the next month things may start going downhill...

Wow. Thanks for this thread guys (and gals). I just started implementing some Adbrite ads on my sites and I just checked one of them. OMG, my site is specifically about DVD movies and the ads that are showing are: gaming computer, culinary academy, hair transplant, forex trading. WTF? I might as well throw a banner up that would have a mass appeal for an email or zip submit. LOL At $1.20 a pop I'm much more likely to make a little money vs. Adbrite at 1 cent per click.

Blacklabel ads, really? You do know that they are owned by Adbrite right?

They have the same shitty payouts as adbrite do.. I would know, I advertise with them at .001 per visitor LOL

Yea, adbrite sucks like hell. It was really bad that I have a stomachache every time I remember the experience using it.
Adbrite doesn't give you targeted ads, but some crappy ad and worst of all they convert the worst too. No luck either with bidvertiser

    Have you looked into Chitika??

There Chitika Premium looks pretty good actually. It could work well for you if you have alot of search engine traffic.
