Ad Strategy for Best Conversion?

I've had some success with eBay dropshipping recently. I've finally built a reputation and I'm making consistent sales, and I'm now earning as much as my current job. This has been a dream of mine for a while now, to finally be able to leave the corprate world with both middle fingers up to them is going to be extremely liberating.

I've started work on my one item dropshipping store, I've found a product, written a very good product description, made the homepage look professional and I'm pretty much ready to launch after a few touch ups.

I've tried a few ad campaigns in the past, however, each one has pretty much failed. I got around 20 visitors to the sites I'd built per day but no sales. Each ad was up for £5 per day.

I'm wondering if anyone who has had success with 1 item dropshipping will be willing to share any methods for a successful ad campaign. I'm super hungry for this to work, and want to make sure I've checked every box before I launch the site.
