how much do you think it will be a normal price for it?

and what mostly advertiser prefer? By weekly renting? or by Monthly?

The site offers banner and video pre-roll ad space.

the site is on movie streaming niche.
sitting on 32k alexa rank.
minimum of 35k visitors per day.
authority site
US country is the number 1 user in the site.

I dont have clue what is a competitive price for it, I want to charge the possible advertiser for a good deal. Since you guys here know this things, I am in need of advice on this matter. Thanks

Generally depends on the impressions. I would say $1-2 per 1,000 impressions is a fair price.

I normally charge 2-3 times what I can make from the space myself (for example with Adsense).

We are talking about banner space , I hope we are in the same page.

I see but I never tried adsense in the site since its a movie site. :( I dont have basis if how much I will charge. Specially on video pre-roll advertising.

Yeah impressions = eyeballs on ads = views that you have on that banner

In that case op go with what @AquaticGamer said - base it on how many impressions the ad space will bring to the advertiser.

You wont get much if its movie site with US traffic. Depend on niche mostly and traffic source of site.

Oh i see his point, is there a tool to track impression if I will try this kind approach of selling my space?

Most of my traffic are direct and google search.
UV is most likely 50-60% per day from search.

Just work it out manually - for example if your site gets 1k impressions per day and you have a sitewide banner where you rotate two adverts, they’ll be getting roughly 15k impressions per month each. So charge $25 / banner per month.

ahh.. I see, :) seems worth to try. ;)

Are you still interested in selling pre-roll ads?

This also depends on country of visitors, uniques, time on site etc.

It's normal to pay $1-$2 per 1000 impressions for tier 1 traffic so you need to segment your traffic based on countries, also your niche will have an affect, if its financial services area you can probably charge a little more, if its meme, humor, etc, it's usually less. If your expecting to charge more than $1-$2 for normal traffic then the advertiser may as well just use any popular display network.

How technical is the buyer, if it was me I would be asking for statistics and proof that the traffic isn't bot and the ads are actually in view able area.
On my site I track user mouse movement to decide if traffic is human or bot, also bounce rate and time on site. If you have little interactivity and high bounce rate I will ask you to prove that its human.
Also, I would ask for a minimum time on site for impression to count, whether or not you use overlays which block the ad or if the ad is loaded off page so is never seen.
