YouTube are cracking down on ad blockers
I'm so annoyed. I hate ads
Ublock still works for now
YouTube make most of their ad revenue from kids who don't use adblockers anyway
And creators can still get paid from sponsors
Hopefully the wider internet doesn't follow suit

Ummmmm I guess you don't have an Adsense blog, right?
No, but i will turn my ad blocker off for blogs if i see the little "Turning off your ad blocker helps me buy food" notification :)
also i feel ok scamming yt out of a couple bucks if theyre going to put 3 unskippable ads at the start of videos
(and then a couple more midrols for good measure)

Users "pay" for free content through ads. You, as a user, shouldn't have the option to consume something without paying for it, and you also don't get to set the price.

You want ad free experience? Pay for premium.

This is no different than pirating content or stealing from a supermarket.

Now.. I'm not a saint. Just trying to show you the other side.

Fair enough, and I totally understand your point.

However, the amount of ads has been slowly growing over the past couple of years, thats the reason i got an ad blocker. I was happy to sit through one. but not 3. As well as that, i guess i have gotten used to not having ads now, when i forget to turn it back on and get 2 ads down the side of the page and 3 shoved down my throat as soon as i open the video, its not enjoyable. The amount of "buy buy buy" around today effecting us and i would rather block it out even if it is morally incorrect.

Im not necessarily saying they're doing the wrong thing, just more annoyed that they're catching onto it lol.
My extremely low attention span will have to sit through 45 secs of ads before i can watch my video again ;(

Sounds like the best thing you can do at this point is to get YT premium.
I think I saw some in the marketplace for lower rates a few months ago.

It's an endless cycle. New anti-adblock > New way to block ads > New anti-adblock.
It's progress

Well that moment is here, I notice add blockers also add an extra load to the computer while active, what I do now is use my cellphone while the add is running to not feel I being waiting for an eternity.

I using 2 blocker same time, they provide more success rate for block

Welfare states have entered the chat :D

But on a serious note, you're right. Morally speaking, there should be no free lunch, unless you're so disabled you can't even lift a finger.

Create the problem and sell the solution. Best!
Show ads on videos => sell premium.
Now try to prevent using ad blockers. It won't work as they think. Say hello to TikTok.

have u ever had cable , have u seen how many ads are there per half hour u getting 7 + minutes of ads and it costs more then youtube premium by far and u cant even pay to avoid the ads either i use ad blockers else where tho but only because of popups and redirects . i like supporting creators if it dosent hurt my pockets , i know a few poeple who cant take sponsers because their anti-shill sponsers dont pay u enlesss your shilling for their product

hey how can i message you ? had a spotify request

You can always move to a country with a lot of United States sanctions, meaning ad companies and google can not monetize people due to theese sanctions. For example Russia, Iran, Afganistan and so on

But I actually suggest you to pay for a premium in that case instead of moving away, no need to be so radical :D
